Dioxin Automatic Sampler TECORA DECS

DECS is an isokinetic automatic sampling system for the continuous collection of dioxins and furans (PCDD / PCDF) in a transportable version. The sample is taken through a heated probe and a particulate filter, which is also heated. It is then rapidly cooled and filtered through an absorbent ampoule filled with E XAD-2 resin. The sampling occurs automatically and respects the conditions of isokinetism.

The DECS system consists of 2 units:

• Sampling unit         
• Control unit

The sampling unit is the part of the system that is fixed to the chimney at the sampling point. Its purpose is to extract the sample without altering its composition, collecting it in both its solid and gaseous phase with special devices. The control unit is the interface with the operator and manages all the functions of the system.

• Can also be used to determine other compounds, including heavy metals, mercury and HCl. This is achieved by using the heated probe method. Here the external filter is used for the solid phase and the sampling is derived from the gas phase.
